No doubt about it winter is here ok and the sun has lost a lot of its strength, still shines though most days. Still spending most of my spare time with the forum changing bits and pieces here and there, trying to make it more attractive for visitors so that they will register. Very poor turnout so far but I am ever hopeful. I have plenty of visitors who come to have a look around but they don't stay so something is putting them off.
Christmas just around the corner folks and not a finger lifted as far as progress on Barchester layout itself but a lot of work done on this site with plenty of additional information and help added.
Next comes the Barchester Forum which has occupied the bulk of my time this month. We now have a few valuable members, both experienced and beginners, plus returnees to the hobby. I would urge you to join us as it takes a lot of members to get any forum self sustaining. By that I mean the forum will be active regularly without the administrator's input. I am after all only one person and the last thing I want is for the forum to be only reflecting my views and experience. Fortunately we now have experienced members who I am sure will be quick to put forward their own ways of doing things and as one of the members pointed out, we are all here to learn as well as teach.
That's it then folks for 2006. Santa will be here in a couple of days and I know there is a Bachmann Class 108, green with speed whiskers, waiting for me under the tree so you know what I will be doing part of Christmas day on Barchester.
A very happy Christmas to all the railway modellers, their
families and friends out there and a prosperous and healthy
new year.
Happy Modelling Everyone.
