Not a good start to the month. I have been knocked for six by this damned chest thing and am feeling very low. I seem to have coughed out all my get up and go. Not to worry as I'm sure I will soon be getting on with things. In the meantime please bare with me.
Half way through the month and nothing done on the model at all. Have spent a lot of time making up Traffic Movement cards for the Barchester Timetable. I am under the doctor's orders now unfortunately. Have to go for x-rays tomorrow, have been told to stop smoking and I have an appointment with a surgeon next Tuesday so things are up in the air a bit at the moment. Doesn't stop me working here on Barchester though and I have added many links and photographs this month as well as two or three project pages.
Made the final arrangement of the Metcalfe Inn buildings and they are in position on the layout.
The rejuvenated GWR Warship "Western Enterprise".
The Inn placed in it's final position and surroundings of grass and trees underway.

Also made three more trees, one for behind the Swan Inn and two for in front of it. You can see where they have been added in this next photograph.
Inn installed and waiting for people, courtyard lights, tables and benches.

Finished the movements cards and timetable. Complete run throughs done and everything works perfectly, great.
A couple more of my older steam models are playing up so it is time to dig deep again for some more pennies to get at least one more new locomotive or DMU.
Bachmann Class66 Malcolm Logistics locomotive ordered today plus a Class 170/2 2 car DMU in Anglian livery.
Playing around with a 18 year old Lima Class 52 "Western Enterprise" diesel and actually got it to run very well so it is now part of Barchester's diesel lineup.

I have replaced the noisy GWR King Class with the Lima Class 52 and the King now stands on one of the loco shed sidings as part of the Barchester Railway Preservation Societie's stud. When the new Class66 arrives I think it will replace the aged GWR 2-6-2T that is currently engaged in Barchester's heavy passenger traffic program. I'm not quite sure yet what the 2 car Anglian DMU will replace.
That's it for February then. See you in March.
