A slow start to the month but I have managed to get some more trees made. Truth be told I have been playing with the latest addition to the Barchester diesel fleet. A Class 66 Malcolm Logistics model. Great machine, works beautifully.

Nice, if you like diesels. I do, I do. Like 'em all, steam, diesel, electric.

I think this is a better picture of the model, at least you can see the front.

The emblem is on the front page, at the bottom. I was working away this afternoon at a couple of new platform canopies and I thought you might be interested in seeing where the 'work' gets done. I'm really lucky in that I have this large table right next to Barchester, plenty of light and a heater if it should get cold. Even here in Spain the winters can be relatively cold.
This next picture shows the latest train to join the diesel fleet at Barchester. It's a Class 170/2 DMU in Anglian livery. Another fine model from Bachmann.
The Turbostar on it's way to Buckingham.

This next picture shows a view of Barchester's Swan Inn with added trees and it's front wall added.
The Swan Inn is still lacking chairs, tables and people but all in good time.

Another view of the Swan Inn next to Barchester's one and only church. The roadway is needing traffic but so is everywhere else.

I have had to alter a load of operational cards to account for the new locomotives that have been added to Barchester's fleet but it's all done now and everything works smoothly again.
Barchester has had it's own forum added to the site but I don't know if anyone will ever use it, be nice if they did though.
Have just started on two more canopies for Barchesters platforms and that should just about make the station itself complete except for 'furniture', seats, people, lamps, name boards, luggage, etc, etc, etc.
Barchester has been awarded a Bronze edition of The Green Light Award.
This is where it all happens folks. Nice big glass topped table and a fan heater if my poor old tooties should get cold.

Have finished the new platform canopies and below are two pictures of the before and after appearance.

This is Barchester on a normal day but without it's canopies. Traffic is quite heavy as you can see.

Last picture for this month shows more or less the same view of Barchester's platforms but with all three canopies in use. Can't remember if I said before that Barchester has two station buildings, one for the main line and the other for the branch line.
Barchester just as busy as usual on an ordinary day of the week.

I have started work on Station Road, that's the road that faces on to the main station building with a row of shops opposite. The main building is in the correct position, the row of shops added and a garage put on the corner at the entrance to the road. The road itself will run to the edge of the baseboard and that's as far as I have got because I am stuck for an idea of how to finish it off at the moment. I'll put some photographs up next week as I am inundated with medical appointments at the moment. A long story that I won't bore you with.
